Within nature is awe inspiring moments that will constantly shift and change within the matrix we call reality, we only need slow enough to stand witness. We believe we see everything, and then our perception shifts, and all the pictures transform into something very mystical and magical as in a single moment you and this fairy tale unite.
There are many things to observe in the natural world from the beautiful rivers, to moss covered trees. Each can be a portent of what the future may be, revealing glimpses of what lay ahead. One only need be aware of the signs and the messages that nature holds.
As we began our first leg of the a hike, I was taken by the amazing mystical sense of the landscapes that surrounded us. From the reflective nature of the water where one almost could become lost in what was above and what was below to the log bridges that seemed to beckon us to climb across them into another world.
My son found some of the bridges irresistible, climbing out across the river for some spectacular views.
Observing nature is a sacred gift, a sacred look into another world. One only needs to take a short walk, have an awareness, and a bit of openness to the messages that are whispered. It is important to remember that meanings, the messages, are for the individual to interpret as they are relevant to an individuals life and the surrounding events.
Something called us to take a surrey out for a short break from the beating sun ...
It is amazing the difference we saw from a different perspective. The savageness of fire.
We returned to the forest, with a new sacredness upon our hearts after seeing so much destruction.
Any of you that know my son, know that singing "silly" songs is part of his gift. Yet, singing can be a very powerful and sacred act to calling in nature's spirits. The shift in consciousness brings one slightly more receptive to the energy that is flowing around you. The singing is an invitation to the spirit world to join you. As we walked beside the river, singing about everything that caught our eye from the mosquitoes to the amazing water reflecting to us to the squirrels scampering. "oh mosquitoes that fly in my nose fly away fly away down to the waters edge, waters edge, play with the squirrels playing on the large rough tree bark, share with me your song as you fly away, fly away to visit the spider weaving her web, weaving her web. " The words are really silly, yet are they?
Two days ago we were out in our yard when we came upon a mushroom circle. The circle was about 10 feet across. Kind of spectacular actually.
As we continued our hike, with songs continuing, we forgot that just recently we had a tropical storm (Debby) and as we tried to avoid the mud puddles, we laughed and splashed until ....
Knee deep in places ... we sang and splashed, determined to go on ...
When you are on a sacred journey, singing, a new awareness about you - anything is possible ......

The vines seemed to be hiding something and the water seemed to share reflections that were dancing along to our songs.
When you call in the power, call in the natural world, offer a song in return, the transformations that can occur, the openings .... the awareness of gifts.
So the doorway appeared. From the external it seemed as though there was no way thru ... yet stepping within the doorway reveals a magical place ... see for yourself.
and the river on the otherside
