Taking A Shower to Balance Energy

How to balance your chakra's?  What is a chakra?  This is all foreign to me... HELP?!

I hear this often and the question was asked again this morning so am sharing a portion of a post from a couple of years ago.

The word Chakra itself means vortex. The vortex being referred to is the energy centers within our body. There are seven main chakras; as well as many minor chakras. Here we are only going to discuss the major chakras. They line up from the base of your spine to the top of your head. Each chakra deals with specific physical aspects of a person's body as well as specific aspects of a person's character and personality. When working with chakra's in meditation you will need to learn to focus on specific chakra energy that will be used for healing or just a sense of calmness. Each chakra is found in a different part of the body.

The Crown

The crown is located the top of your head and is the energy closest to your brain and nervous system. Subconsciously this is the area that relates to perceptions. The crown is purple and is your spirit and spunk.

Brow

The brow is located on your forehead is works with the temples and forehead using energy for your own inner spirit. The brow is indigo in color and is also related to your higher consciousness.

Throat

The throat chakra is located at the base of your throat and works with the throat, neck, arms, and hands. It relates to how we hear things and how we express them. It is our intuition chakra. The throat chakra is represented by a sky blue.

Heart

The heart chakra is located at the center of your chest and involves both the heart and the circulatory system. This gives us our sense of touch and emotion. How we believe what love is. The heart chakra is associated with green. This is the main chakra dealing with healing.

Solar Plexus

This is not only your solar plexus, but your muscle, skin, organs like the pancreas. It is your eyesight of who you truly are and your ego. The Solar plexus is yellow and also works with your ability to learn.

Orange Sacral, or Spleen

The orange chakra is found in the center of a person's abdomen including the sex organs but the reproductive system as well. It also controls our sense of taste and intimate feelings and our sexual feelings. The color is orange; many will refer to this as the spleen chakra and is right below your navel.

Root

The root chakra is located in the perineum area and is associated with teeth, bones, and the lymph system as well as the lower extremities of the body. It is related to the way we smell things and how secure and trusting we are. The root chakra is associated with red.

There are as many thoughts on how the chakras should be cleansed and re aligned as there are people. The best advise and meditation that I received in training was to cleanse my own chakras every morning in the shower. Taking a few minutes while the cleansing action of water is cleaning the outward to concentrate on each of the chakra centers, always starting with the 7th chakra (the crown) and working down to the first chakra (the root) mediating for a few moments as fingers touch upon the chakra energy center. This simple action tends to keep my own chakras aligned and cleansed to start each day fresh.

If your own chakra's are aligned, you will begin to feel as you practice the shower meditation, that they is a straight line with no tension around it that connects the chakra's together to allow the energy to flow through you. As with any self healing or meditation, it takes practice and repetitive action before anyone will feel the benefits of daily chakra cleansing and aligning.

Weekly Energy Series: Got Ethics?

Weekly Energy Series: Ethics ... Resharing a Post on Ethics due to recent events

Ethics are defined as (1) principles of right or good conduct, a body of such principles, (2) a system of moral principles and values. Some define ethics simply as consequential or non consequential. Behaving in manner that is going to harm one but benefit 100, for some, is ethical. For others acting in a manner that you would will others to behave in at all times is ethical. Bring the psychic abilities and energy into the mix and ethics becomes even more complicated. For that reason most will formulate their own ethical theory to make their own responsible decisions. Perfect! Ah but the problem arises when dealing with psychic energy of also involving other persons psychic energy. How do we approach this situation?

Your ethical character implies a certain consistency or point of view that is activated and remains the same regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately ethical character is influenced by reward vs cost of ethical behavior, justification and rationalization of unethical behavior, temptation, and ego. These are some pretty hefty influences. Add to this that as our psychic development increases our abilities, our perception of the world around us changes. As our perception changes so does our ethical character. Many times our motives become the single most important part of our ethical character. When "coming into" your psychic abilities many feel suddenly empowered. Having the ability to use telepathy, psychically reading a person's energy or aura, and even remote viewing are easily influenced by our motives and ego's. We all have heard that any knowledge gained from psychic abilities must be treated respectfully, with honor, with humility, and with confidentiality. But how many of us practice this? How many that have developed their psychic abilities stay true to our ethical character?

It is one thing to speak of ethics and it is something totally different to act with ethics. How we handle the impressions we receive and what we pass along to others is important and must be governed by ethics. When you receive an impression you are ultimately responsible for the information you impart to others. You bear the consequences. You choose what to reveal, how to say it, what your reaction to the impression is and how you reflect that impression. All of this responsibility plays a role in your interaction with other people. So there are some ethical standards or ethical rules that are necessary. Truth, kindness, respect and honesty are a must when performing any time of psychic work. There are Universal Laws of Ethics that must be weighed in all our actions.

1. The rights of all beings to exists, as opposed to the rights of one single person.
2. The sanctity of ALL life forms, and respect for them, wherever they are.
3. Justice for wrongs. This means doing everything this is FAIR and RIG?HT, and correcting an unjust situation if necessary; in order to achieve fairness.
4. Purity of spirit and mind. Act from the purest possible standpoint, with no ulterior motives.
5. What you do will come back to you. Take action because it is the RIGHT thing to do, mot for the rewards you may receive for doing it.
6. Truth in all dealings with all entities, but most particularly, being honest and truthful with ourselves.

What does this really mean? It means we must always recognize that honesty, truth, and respect are foremost in psychic work. It means taking full responsibility for your own energy and actions. It means seeking the most positive action that can be taken in any given situation. It means acknowledging honesty and truth as the foundation of all psychic work. It means NEVER exploiting or seeking to control another through the use of psychic abilities. It means remaining emotionally neutral in all psychic impressions. It means always giving basic respect that all beings deserve. It means NEVER practicing mind reading or clairvoyeruirsm to see into others with out permission. It means allowing others the privacy sacred to all souls. It means NEVER using abilities to manipulate others. It means speaking the truth. It means ultimately - NEVER causing harm to yourself or an other.

Ethical definitions for “harm” include interfering with anothers free will or rights, restricting someone’s freedom of choice, physically, mentally, or spiritually damaging another, wantonly destroying something, or causing unnecessary injury. To harm another person, or you, is wrong. There are many ways to cause harm. Forcing someone else to do your will or to take a particular path, not of their own choosing is harm. Believing that you are more important than others can cause harm. This means believing and acting as if your psychic impressions are the only truth. Other actions that can harm are not so obvious. Mental manipulation of another can cause harm. Thoughtlessness, jealousy, selfishness are all actions that can harm. Imposing your help on someone without their asking is the same as withholding help when asked for. You harm another when you inhibit their personal growth, even when your intentions are good. You harm others if you try to manipulate a situation or a person, because once you have limited their options or disallowed certain choices; you have interfered with their free will. No one knows what is best for another person. Assuming that you do is wrong and causes harm.

Why all the talk of ethics today? Recently I have been a number of situations where self proclaimed psychic "guru's" have felt it necessary to violate ethical principles. They have stepped into psychic space without permission. They have attempted to read both telepathically and clairavoyantly thoughts when specifically asked to stop. They have attempted manipulation through self proclamation of their elevated status. They have worked from a self centered, self seeking, self promoting status. My thoughts - my opinions. It is WRONG to step into someone's psychic space uninvited. It is WRONG to do a reading for someone who didn't ask. It is WRONG to read someone who specifically asked you to stop. It is WRONG to impress your impressions as the only "right" ones. It is WRONG to attempt intimidation by impressing your abilities and self proclaimed "special" standing in the spiritual / psychic world.

This type of action disturbs me. It gives light workers in general a reputation that most prefer not to have. So my challenge is this: Stop for a bit and look at your own ethical character. Are you practicing what you preach? Do you following ethical principles and the Universal Laws of Ethics? If we all watch our own ethics - we don't have to worry about what others are doing.

What Is A Priestess and What Does She Do?

I’m often asked, “What is a priestess and what does she do?“

A simple explanation is to offer Webster’s definition: a priestess is a woman who officiates in sacred rites. While this is quite accurate, in truth, a priestess is and does so much more.  She serves the spiritual needs of the community.

Long ago the priestesses in communities carefully observed the patterns and rhythms of Nature.  Attuning to earth’s cycles, they honored the Great Mother by performing sacred seasonal rituals.  Women, seen as an embodiment of the Great Mother, were deeply revered, honored and celebrated for, like the earth, a woman too was able to grow life within her. Later in history, Roman, Greek, and Egyptian priestesses lived in holy temples. They, too, worshiped the Great Mother, the Goddess in Her many forms. They served the spiritual needs of the community as well and were also held in high esteem. Numerous hierarchies and historical events ensued. Soon, men began to fear the power of priestesses. The natural spiritual and mystical practices of priestesses were viewed as evil. Their power, greatly misunderstood, was thought to be a dark force that needed to be annihilated.  Thousands of priestesses were persecuted, put to death for their beliefs and spiritual practices. Those managing to escape death fled their holy temples and went underground into hiding.
Today, in the midst of a two-thousand-year period of patriarchy, a modern-day priestess is emerging. She brings to present times richly-steeped ancient wisdom, integrating past spiritual teachings with a few spins of her own. In addition to her work as Priestess, she may also have a family and hold a conventional job as well.  She holds within a deep moon-water essence, and her mission is to help bring into fruition the vital life-force energy of the almost forgotten Divine Feminine. Intuitively, she knows a conversion to a matriarchy isn't what's currently needed. A modern-day priestess instead directs her energy to restoring a natural, harmonious balance between the genders and All That Is. Weaving her fluid moon-water essence with the energies of the fixed sun-fire masculine, she helps re-birth Sacred Union.

Women choosing to walk the path of the priestess have answered a deep inner calling. Hearing within and resonating passionately to the ancient call of the Great Mother, a time came when each heart knew with absolute certainty... yes, this is it... Hers is the work I am to do...the very reason I've incarnated at this time! For me personally, the actual word “priestess” whenever spoken created an ecstatic internal hum, a familiar vibration that was/is one of pure bliss. How blessed to be so crystal clear regarding one's life purpose! This being said, I also feel compelled to share the path of the priestess, though richly rewarding, is not an easy one. It is a path requiring deep integrity and tremendous dedication.

With courage and grace, a modern-day priestess journeys the continuous ascents and descents of life's spiral. Constant deep inner work is a must. Confronting, clearing, healing past wounds energetically empties her of what no longer serves use or purpose. Going into the inner realms…quiet times of reflection, prayer, meditation…enables her to better “see” and “sense” her truth more clearly. Hard work and perseverance bring rewards. Soon she begins to recognize herself as a unique expression of the face of the Divine Mother. She learns to value and deeply honor her own femininity. She becomes a holy vessel, better able to hold sacred space for all humankind.

A priestess is dedicated to serving the beauty, love, and spirit in all life. She learns how to attune to and work sacredly with all energies, particularly those of Nature and the elements. Like a fluid dance of ebb and flow, a priestess works passionately to raise the vibration of our physical world, infusing it with sacredness. Illuminating all that she is and does a priestess experiences great joy when performing divinely-inspired ceremony and ritual. Often compared to a Shaman, she is able to position herself between the visible and invisible worlds, residing in the valley of enriched tension lying between the two dimensions. A High Priestess works with even finer, more subtle energy frequencies. Archetypically speaking, she is a direct emissary of the Divine Feminine represented here on Earth.

A Magdalene (another name for a High Priestess), is the trademark used for a lineage of present-day priestesses first birthed by Nicole Christine in Tuscan, Arizona in 1994. Differing from priestesses who adhere to particular religious or earth-based practices, a Magdalene is non-sectarian, wholly sovereign unto herself.

Blowing Bubbles Can Release Negative Energy Signatures From the Throat Chakra

RE-Share as it has come up multiple times recently in questions.  How to release Negative Energy Signatures.

How many times during the course of a day do you spend trying to pretend that you appear to be happy and enjoying life?  How many times do you put on some kind of mask and hide behind it ?  How many times to you bite your tongue and choke the words back down your throat letting them remain in your mind?
Most people spend a large amount of time and energy putting on their “masks" to ensure that other people perceive them as happy and balanced.  We ‘paint’ on the face and ‘dress’ up the eyes.  Unfortunately, the mind/thoughts are glossed over as they are not ‘seen’ by the world. The mind/thoughts are still filled with negative thoughts.
What happens is the throat chakra can become blocked or clogged up from not speaking truths.  The brow chakra can become blocked or clogged as the thoughts remain within the mind.  The heart chakra can become blocked as the emotions are conflicting from the exterior to the interior.  The solar plexus are affected as the power/energy is given away as we pretend to be something other than our own truth. It goes on and on as each chakra center is affected simply by a person ‘faking it’.
Every person that you encounter in the course of the day is going to have a reaction to you, about you, and you will have a similar reaction towards them.  This interaction or exchange of energy can have a profound effect upon your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
All of these energy interactions start with your thoughts – your mind.  If your thought forms are positive, an inner sense of beauty will emanate from your being.  If your thought forms are negative, discontent and irritability will emanate regardless of how we ‘dress’ up our face.
I have yet to meet a person who speaks their thoughts completely in every aspect of life at all times.  Most will taper thoughts before speaking them.  Consider the ripple effect of the words before sharing them.  This is prudent in most cases.  We know words have power.  That power can share love and compassion or cut like a knife injuring a person.

There are two separate areas of the throat chakra that need to be focused upon.  The front side of the chakra relates to how communication from others is taken in and assimilated.  The back side of the chakra (located at the base of the neck) is related to the transmitting of the energy.  It is how you sense yourself within society as you speak.  The throat chakra is really about taking responsibility for your own personal needs.  The health of this chakra really is representative of how a person is able to receive what is coming at them and how they transmit back out to the world around them.

Each time that a ‘mask’ is put on to hide a person’s inner thoughts and reality; it causes further disruption to the flow of energy in and out of this chakra.  Even with a ‘mask’ is worn, the energetic signature of what the real thought forms are is sent out.  So while a person can be speaking positive affirmations and sharing words of love, if the thought forms of the mind are really saying the opposite the energy signature being transmitted is causing serious harm to the person putting the ‘mask’ on.

So what is the solution?  A person cannot speak all their thoughts as it may cause even more energetic harm to another yet if a person doesn’t receive and transmit from this chakra speaking thoughts it energetically harms themselves.

There are many options to this dilemma.  Here are a few suggestions that although simplistic in nature, will work to keep a majority of the energetic dysfunction to a minimum.

Journal – something magical happens when pen is placed to paper.  This journal, however, is vastly different than a typical journal.  I recommend getting a small spiral notebook (3"x5") and carry it with you.  When thoughts forms happen that cannot be spoken, write them in the notebook.  Once written tear the paper out and destroy it.  If the paper is left in the notebook, most keep a firm grasp on the thought.  By tearing the paper out of the notebook and destroying it, this enables the energy signature to be negated.

Blow bubbles – As you blow bubbles, visualize each bubble as the thought form you are holding with in your mind. As the visualization happens, pop the bubble.  Again this is negating the thought form making it devoid of the energy signature.

Find the cause – There is always an underlying cause behind every thought that a person has.  Whether that thought form is based upon an old belief pattern or upon self-esteem issues, the cause needs to be uncovered in order to change the perception of the thoughts.  To do this, watch for the patterns of perceived negative thought forms.  If you are constantly becoming frustrated, delve into what else in your life at its core is frustrating you.  Are you frustrated with where your life is going?  Why?  What is missing to make it fulfilled?  This can be a long process and painful to take a true non biased inventory of your own self.  However, it is worth the effort and pain to uncover the cause of the thought forms and being able to eliminate the cause.

These are simple techniques that can pay out immense dividends.

Weekly Vibe From The Sky with Laurissa Heller for 1/23/12

Vibe From the Sky
with
Laurissa Heller

Mars will go retrograde (kind of reverse but not really) once again in Virgo on Jan 23rd.  A retrograde planet asks us to go back and consider other ways of working with the current energy.    It can also mean that more opportunities around the energy will bubble up.  Mars retrograde in Virgo will drive us deeper into our work, and give us opportunity to redo  creations that have been birthed but need more attention.  Be mindful because this is the kind of vibration that will ask you to keep moving  things around until you cannot move any more.  Organize and put priority on the parts that will serve you the best.  There is so much to be done that we can be pulled in many directions.  It is best to focus on top priorities.

This energy also points to women birthing into a new found freedom by owning who they are in many ways.  This is the beginning of era, of more balance for women, in the larger scale within our culture, and for men, an opportunity to own the softer parts of themselves.  Just remember, in the 70's, and even the 80's, it was strange to see a woman in a powerful position.

We are personally building a new life, and as a larger community we are building a fire.  A fire that cleanses our cultural world.  Our vitality is strong and full of vigor as a collective, but we must keep our focus.  This time and space is an opportunity to heal some old wounds.  When an old hurt is exposed, the balance can tilt in many different directions.  It is vital that we stay with our intention, rather that fall victim to our disempowered child archetype.  We must let the process have its way, but with our motion being love.  The fire will touch upon our government (this is an election year), our financial institutions, and our cultural spells.  It is time for the old to burn away so that new growth can engage with something beautiful and fresh.   One law of the Universe is that energy cannot be created or destroyed.  It can only be transformed.  Transformation must have fire, and that is exactly what the Universe will bring this year.  Heat and lots of it.  And so those who are paying attention must focus on lifting us up with LOVE.
