Demonic Entities and Evil Spirits - What are they? Can I rid of them?
Ian Watts Photographer
Question time: “…… evil spirits what are they…….”
Answer:
I received a question regarding evil spirits and how to clear them. What I share is my experience, there are a variety of methods in which is clear energy, a variety of rituals to ward off what some refer to as evil spirits; I would invite you to seek your spiritual teacher or guide for what resonates with your soul.
To me evil is man-made fear. Yes there is energetics which can be labeled as positive and negative; however evil is something that has been conjured up in the course of history as a fear based signature that has been used in a variety of ways including a way to control the belief system of masses.
A spirit that is being perceived to cause negative or evil attributes is a spiritual entity that is trapped in a lower frequency most like due to fears or other characteristics that did not resonate with their own soul. Is this to say that there is no evil in the world? Evil is man-made therefore a person can, through free choice, do actions that are harmful either to nature or another soul that are “evil” in nature. However, it has been my experience that the person doing these acts have a signature that is full of fear, full of harmful imprints, and is wounded in such a way that they only resonate with similar imprints.
Does that mean the person is “evil”? In the human language, we would determine that to be an evil action and even perhaps an evil person. It is the action not the soul that is “evil”. If a spirit is creating havoc, most often it is simply to generate your awareness that they are there. They need assistance and you were not “hearing” them. The crux of the problem comes when a person becomes aware of the spirit, develops their own internal fears, does not have the spiritual knowledge to heal the spirit causing the havoc, and creates a low frequency energy exchange. This exchange in turns creates a cycle that grows larger and larger in imprint. However, it is all still based upon the original fear.
So does this mean that demons and “evil” spirits do not exist as it is just fear in your mind? Thoughts are powerful energy. Fear can manifest reality, perhaps stronger and faster than love, just as positive affirmations can. Fear is a strong emotion and leaves imprints that are deeply embedded. When a spirit is filled with fear the frequency that it resonates out in its vibration can feel so different than our own, we immediately judge it as “evil”. What is really happening is that we become in overwhelming fear at a frequency that resonates fear. Thus we give power or energy to this spirit.
It is important to go to the source in order to heal, so when dealing with a spirit with this extremely low frequency, one must heal the spirit from a non-judgmental space in order to free the spirit from the fear, which allows the energy to become balanced thus releasing it from its trapped state. This is not always a simple process. When a dark or “evil” spirit is trapped, it has usually been trapped for a very long time. Over time it has sucked the energy from many people and situations growing the cycle, feeding it so to speak. So a spirit of this nature can appear to be larger than life. If you can balance the energy of the spirit out, the spirit will become a closer expression of their true soul.
The spirit world is not like the Hollywood movies nor is it even like what you see on television. To understand, the first concept you must realize is that everything is energy. You are energy. Spirits are energy. Within energy itself, there are frequencies. There is a high vibrational frequency and there is a low vibrational frequency. We have, as humans, felt it necessary to label things. Some of these labels comfort us and some place us in a state of fear. Yet, if we remember that all is simply energy perhaps a fear inducing label would in fact comfort us.
A spirit can teach. A spirit can protect. A spirit can heal. A spirit can guide. If a spirit is of low frequency it will still be a spirit, but the imprint will create a sense physically, emotionally, or spiritually that induces fear, anxiety, or terror. It can be a subtle feeling to an extreme feeling. It is dependently upon the persons own energetic signature. If your own signature vibrates on a lower frequency it will create terror. Why? Because the energetic impulse attracted is terror. Like attracts like.
Releasing, clearing, or removal of these lower frequency spirits can be difficult. You must “heal” the wounded soul of the spirit in order to balance it energetically so that it will let go. Remember it is simply energy resonating with energy. Therefore, it has to be shifted so that it no longer resonates with a lower frequency (fear). Next the person who experienced the spirit as “demonic” or “evil” must be healed in order that they no longer send out an energetic impulse that is of lower frequencies. This can be as difficult as healing the spirit. Lastly, the land/home must be balanced energetically. Though difficult, it is still a matter of energetics and the imprint can be cleared from the spirit, the person and the land.
So quite literally a person begins to have wounds, splinters, and holes within their own energy body that are filled with the lower frequency energy. This can and does manifest itself into darkness which is perceived as mental instability, evil behavior and many forms of psychosis.
The healing of the wounds of both the spirit and the person can be dangerous to the person trying to heal if they are fear based themselves. "Spirit is stronger than spirits" meaning if the spirit of the healer is founded in higher frequencies, the lower frequencies can not affect them. The old saying that love can overcome all is based upon energetics. As a caution, if you have a great deal of fear, hold resentment, anger, or have a depressive nature, do not attempt to heal a spirit as you will end up with imprints and hooks as well.
Does this mean that when a person perceives that a demon is attacking them it is all in their mind? Absolutely not. What it means is that they have extremely low vibrational frequencies that have banded to together attracting to them, the land around them or to their own internal fears. Energy manifests into reality. They are as real as can be. If you believe in angels then you must also believe in demons. They are the same thing on different spectrum of the energetic frequency.
I hope this helps explain some of the mystery that shrouds demons and evil entities.

How do you become a Sacred Witness?
Question: "...you have spoken of being a Sacred Witness of ..(yourself), ....how do you do this?"
Answer: I received a question asking how do you become a Sacred Witness in your own life and why would you wish to when so many talk about being present fully in your moment?
First, let me explain why I feel it is vital to become a Sacred Witness of self. As I (or anyone) sees the moments in their own lives, they are "witnessed" from a perspective of life experiences. Meaning, whatever experiences you have incurred during your life can skew your perception of a moment. Your emotions effect the way you see things. At times it may be necessary/desired to see a situation outside of this emotional perspective to obtain a wider view of the situation.
As a Sacred Witness, you see things from an objective point of view which allows you to step out of your own personal reality. When we are in our own perspective we can feel attached to the outcome, the Sacred Witness allows you to no longer be attached.
The process of being a Sacred Witness can be difficult to come to as it requires a person to completely let go of all emotion, all mental connection to a situation.
When trying to teach this process, I use a meditation. Remember, that this may take time to have any type of success.
The process
Begin by closing your eyes and bringing to your conscious a situation in your life that has presented a choice that you must make. Picture the situation in as much detail as you can.
Become aware of the emotions surround this situation. Allow yourself to experience the emotions and mental thoughts of the situation. As you are visualizing this, take notice of your body language. Watch yourself as you go through the scene. What is your body language revealing? Is your facial expression shifting? Can you feel the energy that arises from the emotions?
What is the intention of others involved? What is their body language revealing? Notice how your body is reacting to their words? Their body language? For this moment, see the true essence of the experience. What is the energetic essence?
Now, visualize yourself separate from your body that is experiencing the situation. Rise above yourself so that you are looking down at yourself. Look down at the entire experience as a whole. Notice the other person(s) involved without your personal attachment to the emotion. Does this reveal something new? Can you see what circumstances are leading up to their reactions? What else is happening that you could not see from your emotional moment?
Slowly, return down into your body. Watch the situation play out again with this new perspective. What changes? What different experiences are experienced now knowing the true essence of the situation? What insights into the other person's reactions are affecting your emotions now? Is your perspective shifting knowing the motivations of the other people?
Allow the scene to end and slowly take deep breathes to return to the present moment.
Remember, this takes practice in order to separate and see from a detached perspective. Much can be learned regarding your own reactions to situations when this is practiced on a regular basis.

Finding The Message of Medicine
A spiritual teacher suggested “ ask yourself why it is so STRONG in you... go really deep to ask why the truth MUST be clear in the background, the way that you are seeing it...”. I recently watched a popular video on YouTube and my reaction towards the video was vastly different than what the general populous opinion was. For most, the reaction was “I so resonate … yes it fits … wow”. For me, however, it was an untruth based in an egocentric sales pitch. The video is unimportant as was its message; what is important is to go into an introspective voyage of why must the background be congruent with the outer message? Why is it so important to me that the intentions behind words be authentic truth for me, as well as the viewable message?
Every intention sets energy into motion whether a person is the reader or the creator of the message. So what is intention? In my perspective intention is an anticipated outcome from a defined action. Simply, it is what the underlying purpose of your message is. Your intention is what you think and what you expect. This is vastly different than what you wish for or ask for. Going deeper. Energy follows intention. Thus, if someone is sharing a message with a set intention, their energy will follow that intention. Let’s go even deeper. Setting your intention actually is a multi-layered action. Let’s take the example of learning to drum. My intention is to learn to drum. If I state my intention as “I want to be a proficient drummer.” The statement actually implies that I can’t drum. The energy following the intention is promoting my lack of skills in drumming to continue. If I state “I am a successful drummer in all ways” the intention set is not focused on what is missing or lacking. This is the surface level of the intention. At another level the purpose of why I want to drum is considered in the intention.
Back to the background message, my intention is not to be a successful drummer in this example. The message is to have the ability to be of service. How so? Drumming in a shamanic journey is one tool that can be used to heal others. Healing others is being of service. So the active participation in the intention is for the higher purpose of all not an egocentric basis. Why does this matter when speaking outside of sharing my own message? Why does the background message of others need to be clear to me personally?
As I meditated during my morning fire upon this question, it became pretty clear to me that the alignment of my soul with my authentic truth was of paramount importance (as it should be for each us to be aligned with our own individual authentic selves). There have been many instances in my own journey where the surface level intention has been virtuous, but the subliminal intention was not for the highest good. I have played the role (as my teacher referred to it) of a trickster, as I think we all have at one time or another. Meaning seducing someone into doing or believing in a statement by tricking them into believing it was their truth as well. The end justifies the means thinking. If we get to the same point, why does it matter how we get there?
I am accountable for the energy signatures that I send out. I am bound not only by beliefs but how I conduct myself according to those beliefs. I believe within my soul that everyone has their own path up the mountain called life to follow. How we travel that path is what defines us. My own alignment with the journey is dependent upon my relationship with the energy of the journey. If I align myself with a belief that does not resonate wholly with me, then I am no longer being authentic with self. My experience has shown me that when I attempt to operate out of sync, out of alignment, with my beliefs, then I take the chance of playing the role of the one being seduced again. I was taught to take every message I hear and blow holes in it. If I cannot blow holes in it, then it is authentic truth for me.
I can not only speak of the journey, I must live the journey. I once was told that I am not the ripple of the water, I am the water in relationship to the journey. The journey is my relationship to energy. Energy is set in motion by intention. If the intention is not authentic in all layers, then what is my relationship to the energy? To the journey?
In the past, I have been seduced by the idea that surface intention is all that there is. Lost in the seduction of that idea, I struggled with reclaiming my own authentic power. I struggled with finding my own center and alignment. So for myself, the truth of why the background or subliminal truths be clear and resonate returns back to my own relationship with the journey. The energetic signature of pure intention is vastly different than the signature with splintered intention. I have come to find that I own nothing other than my discipline, honor, faith, loyalty, and courage of heart that I bring to my journey. I strive to evolve and flow with the energies of life; rather than attempt to divert and manipulate them. I have found as my truth that I can only control my own actions, my own intentions, and my own intentions. I am accountable only for my journey and as such it is vital for my soul to resonate with whatever I align myself with.
What is the underlying medicine of the introspective meditation? I have come to understand that my personal code of conduct is what binds me to my journey. My strength and authentic power does not come from the surface of the energetic flow; it comes from the flow itself with all its layers unified in essence. Visions are to be shared, but never imposed. Actions and deeds speak for my intention more than words do. The only thing I need to conquer is the warrior within that plays all the roles.
"If an action does not strengthen your spirit, mind, body, or journey then there is no reason to pursue it further". Warrior's Code
