Ascension Sickness - Is it Real?

I am receiving multiple questions on the 'ascension' symptom theories, so I am re posting a blog that answers those questions.

Question:

"Carla, I feel horrible. I am so tired all the time, I have a constant headache, not sleeping, and keep getting colds that won't go away. They linger. I thought ascension was positive. Why do I feel so horrible?"

Answer:

First, let me share that the opinions expressed here are just that opinions. They come from my personal experience and the experience of working with multitude of people that have ask for my assistance. In no way does anything written here replace speaking with a medical practitioner or is it medical advice.

I often am asked at lectures about Ascension Sickness or Ascension Symptoms. Ascension is not something that is happening to you. You have to chose to ascend - to raise your vibrational frequency. Whether you have chosen to consciously or subconsciously, it is a choice. As the process of the shifting your own vibrational rate happens, there will be certain steps that will have to happen.

As an example, as your vibrational rate rises an emotional clearing has to happen. When you release emotions you can feel fatigued, get headaches, feel overwhelmed, and even get stick muscles. Hormones are released as you go through anything emotional. It happens. As you clear out emotions and release them, the same thing happens.

Some of the other types of 'sickness' that has been shared with me is weight shifts, memory issues, sore throats, bladder issues and even low grade fevers. These are not part of ascension. They are a result of the work necessary during any spiritual evolution. They are better described as resistance to ascension. As the vibration rate of your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual bodies shift and change, it can take your body a period of time to adjust.

I have shared before about energy signatures, when your energy signature shifts to a different level you can develop vertigo, feel like your skin is burning or even nausea. I can assure you it will pass quickly. If any symptom last longer than a few hours at a time, you need to have it checked by a doctor. For most it is a result of the work being done and as soon as your bodies adjust to the higher vibrational frequency (or signature).

Besides the physical resistance, there is also emotional and mental resistance. These can show up as slight depression, craving of food, insomnia, detachment and lack of concentration. Again, this should pass relatively quickly.

Before I share techniques that I have found useful in assisting pushing through the resistance, let me share the real " symptoms " of ascension.

Ecstasy

A feeling of home

Oneness

Overwhelming love

Contentment

Focus

It is vital to understand that on the physical plane the vehicle is the physical body. Without this physical body, you can't exist here. In doing any type of ascension work, the most important piece of the puzzle is taking care of your vehicle. Detoxify your body on a regular basis. Drink 10 -12 glasses of fresh water every day. Fresh air and exercise are vital for at least a half hour a day (even if it is just walking). Watch your diet. Increase vegetables and fruit if possible.

Getting grounded will help you reconnect with the physical body. When spending time doing alot of ascension work (meditation, journeys, etc.), it is vital to remember to get grounded. Bury your feet in the Earth and imagine them being roots growing into the ground and reach up for the sky letting your arms become the branches.

Ensuring that your energy system is cleared regularly is another important aspect. I have shared in other posts about using the shower method to cleanse your chakra's. Smudge them, see a chakra therapist, or use the shower method - it is vital that you don't allow the energy to become "gunked" up.

Find a support group to connect with. Part of what happens is that you can feel separated and depressed as you are doing some of the emotional and mental work of releasing. Having a support group you can lean on, share with, and help keep one another focused on the purpose helps to keep spirits uplifted.

Again, if you have any medical conditions, consult your doctor before changing anything in a major way in your lifestyle.

Emptying Your Chalice

When you begin the day completely empty, it can be filled with marvels, since you are an empty container that has room for God’s divine presents every day. But when you are filled to the brim with thoughts and feelings, there is no room for wonders. So empty yourself every morning and you will be able to experience God’s grace and his miracles to the full.
From Jesus The Book

Every day is a new beginning. It is a gift from the Divine presented to each being without the need to ask for it. The Divine’s grace simply presents it to us.

Many times we take this gift and toss it aside and return to yesterday’s gifts. We awaken only to turn back the page and continue from where we left off the day before. When this happens we are refusing to accept what is being given in the present. We miss out of receiving the miracles that await us.

We are that chalice that the Divine refills endlessly to quench our thirst. Do not fear emptying it out at the end of each day. If it is already to the brim with yesterday, it is impossible to replenish it. It becomes stale and without taste.

Allowing the Divine to replenish it, knowing it will never be left empty, allows for the renewed strength and eternal love to fill our own chalice anew. Do not allow the presents from the Divine to spill over because you did not empty your chalice. Savor each sip from the chalice to become full of the grace and miracles the Divine has prepared for you each day.

Practice each night letting go of the need to clutch and hold onto the contents of your chalice. Empty it consciously so that it may be renewed with the miracle of the Divine’s presents each morning.

The heat of the fire permeates every cold.
In the heat of love will melt any ice.

It fits together broken something,
which was disconnected again a whole.

Back into the fire may all be found -

again arrive in the circle of eternity.
To change, and to reconnect to the wheel of eternity.

God's creations are great.
Yet they turn back to him one day,
as they are born of him.

Do always remember the creations of its creator.
Because remember it and find it yourself

May all creations are in harmony and divine order move,
not lose more in their own worlds, walk in fire
and recognize the face of his rays.

Back and find this
the origin of their true beauty and joy.

As the unique, loving, wonderful expression of creation, they are
may the (divine) creations always remember the(ir) (divine) creator - because by remembering they will find who they are

may all creations move in harmony and divine order - may they not loose themselves any longer in their own illusionary worlds - but walk into the fire and recognize their faces in its shining loving rays

and by this find the origin of their true beauty and joy...

Sacred Breath in Sacred Moments

We have choices every day.  Each and every day there are moments and events that transpire that we take for granted.  We do not take the breath to notice these moments.  We seem to be caught up in those events which send us into fear or out of balance.  Those events that make us vulnerable.  What of the other things that we forget to notice everyday?

There are no ordinary moments in life.  No ordinary breaths that are meaningless.  Every breath is a sacred experience.  Once that sacred moment has passed, one can not go back and inhale it again.  How many sacred breaths do you miss every day?  The Universe blesses each of us every moment of every day.  The breath is a gift.

This morning I awoke to hearing a hummingbird chirping outside my bedroom window.  My Jack Russell showering me with kisses to celebrate the morning.  It was four am and the start of my day.  The air was brisk this morning as I stepped outside.  Savoring the aroma's of early morning allowing it to fill my every cell is a gift I gave myself.  That first cup of coffee has never tasted better as I curl up on my porch swing to write this blog.  How could I not feel grateful for the moments, for the breaths, for all the gifts blessing my morning.
It may seem to some that I am stretching to find things to be grateful for.  What would my life be without them?  Without the sound of birds chirping?  Without my pup that shows love unconditional every moment?  Without that strong aroma of freshly brewed coffee?  I am deeply grateful for each of them.  Pause as you are reading and look about, are there not small things that you are blessed to have?  things that if were not there, you day would not be as beautiful or as loving?

Every sacred breath, every moment that is recognized is like a ripple from the stone tossed in a still pond.  when the smallest of gifts are recognized the bigger the ripple that is created.  These are the little miracles that surround us each and every day.  The result of recognizing even the smallest miracle is that your life becomes overflowing with joy and love.

Take a moment and breath deeply.  Allow the sacred moment to vibrate through every cell.  Recognize the sacredness of the breath, the moment, and  your life.  Express your gratitude for the sacred gift and allow the unconditional love to fill you.

Validation

Transition to Expansion

Transition. Growth. Expansion. Each of these words are musts in life. At one point or another, we all come to the proverbial fork in the road and have a choice. A choice of which direction we will travel. A choice in whether we will grow or remain stagnant. We all face them. We all go through them.

If you are anything like I am, what you really want is to have a neon sign that says go this way to start with. Followed by a quick, fast moving transition to hurry up learn the lesson and get to the next agenda item. Patience has never been one of my best characteristics. I have learned over the years that doing the pictures in this manner results in having to repeat the lesson over and over again.

In this time of transition that so many people are facing vibrational frequencies shift, how does one maintain the balance and serenity that is always strives for? I have often referred to the physical life as being the pendulum. When you learn to balance yourself on the pendulum as it swings back and forth without falling off and starting over, things stay relatively smooth. The difficultly comes in when the pendulum suddenly begins to speed up. You were so use to the speed that it was swinging that you got comfortable. It became easy. You could feel the gentle breeze as you went back and forth. When the pace picks up slowly, you have a chance to get use to the new speed. However, when someone comes along or some experience happens that grabs the pendulum lifts it way up high and you start to swing faster and higher than you have ever been, the natural reaction is to cling on for dear life.

Then someone yells, "let go". What then? Here you are on this pendulum, clinging on, not daring to move. Why? Fear perhaps. Fear from falling. Fear of letting go of your safety net. When we cling on to our safety net so to speak, what we are really clinging onto is our old habits. Our old behaviors. Our old patterns. The whole purpose was to transition, grow, and evolve. We can not do that when we are still trying to hold on to old beliefs, patterns, and habits. We have to let go completely. Remember, courage is not lack of faith. Conversely, courage is doing in spite of fear.

There was a time in my life when every choice was like this. Every choice was full of fear, doubt and claw marks. I have some mentors that can attest to the fact that years ago every choice was more like dragging me to the edge and pushing me off, rather than my simply jumping. In every choice, my nails had to be pried free before I could even be pushed. I did not start out letting go with dignity and grace (and many times I still don't). I started out screaming and doing the two year old temper tantrum dance. I have fallen from these jumps and landed with a profound crash on my ass. Eventually I got up, dusted myself off and jumped back in with two feet to try all over again. I have also taken the leap of faith and landed squarely on my feet.

So today here I am again. Major transitions. Major growth. Major expansion. I made the choice of which road to take, which gate to go through. Clinging for dear life to the pendulum as it swings high from side to side faster than it ever has before. I heard the voice "LET GO". My heart is racing, my head dizzy from spinning and every cell is vibrating. I had my moment of fear. My moment of clinging on. My moment of throwing the tantrum. Only a moment. Now it is time. Time to stop talking about the process and simply do it. Let go and see where I land. No claw marks. No pushing off the cliff. Simply letting go and free fall in the knowing that the flow will catch me and carry me to where I need to be.

That is what faith is all about.
