Taking a Risk. Stepping out of the comfort zone. Courage to stand alone. What if I fail? What if I am rejected or disapproved of? What if someone laughs at me?
To have the courage to take a risk is something many are facing currently, including myself. Changing paths, how people see you, standing up for your own beliefs, there must be a commitment of the heart and soul to take the risk.
I recently was blessed to hear a song by McCall Erikson called "A Better Me" that has struck a cord. It is a song about having that fire in your belly that burns making risks seem the only choice. She sings about taking that leap to become "A Better Me" regardless of the outcome.
For me taking a risk outside the comfort zone box is fueld by a flaming fire that nothing can quench except taking that leap that McCall's song talks about. I know that the flame of love can empower me to accomplish anything and to step out on my own. When the purpose in your life becomes to step out, empower yourself, and become a better you, the state of your inner life shifts. That shift comes from stepping into the flow of life, into the Divine nature that surrounds us all. When that fire begins to burn within you, you are willing to try anything, risk everything and find yourself accomplishing things you never dreamed were possible.
This fire comes from living a sacred life. The risks that we take is fueled from a need to bring every relationship we have to a deeper sacred place. When living a sacred life, the risks are insignificant as we need to live in truth, deeper love, and integrity. A sacred relationship is based upon truth, love and integrity. A sacred relationship begins with the one you have with yourself.
This means that the risks are faced personally to take the responsibility to speak our truths of how we feel and see life regardless of any reactions from others. A sacred relationship with self means being the authentic self.
Taking the risk of stepping into new territory, into a new way of life, requires that you have a committment deep within that is with purpose. That purpose is what aligns us, keeps us balanced regardless of what outcomes come. This empowerment begins with having a connection with the Divine.
When the connection with the Divine is the fueling the fire within, giving you purpose, and pushes you to live a spiritual life, risk seems to melt away because of the faith you have (and the push you are getting). Sometimes facing a risk is far simplier than going against the flow of the Divine energy.

Q & A Time - Dream Interpretation
Question: "Carla ... Can you interpret this? I am not sure if it is me making things up or if it is really a dream? I am so lost here."
Answer: Although the actual dream is not included in the above question as it was a highly personal dream, the basic question of interpreting dreams is valid one. Many times I have become fustrated myself with trying to understand the message of a dream only to have the dream lost in a myriad of thoughts. This mental game playing with a dream or a vision strips all of the value away. It has taken me a long time to understand and accept this. There are no coincidences in life as this has been something I have been working on for over a year.
When you dream, whether it is a vision quest, an astral walk, or simply a dream, it is the spiritual world speaking with your inner self or as some refer to it your higher self. There are many wonderful books and sites that describe the meaning of certain symbols or animals in dreams. The fundamental problem with these sites and books, is that each individual has their own references. What that means is if I say I dreamt of a waterfall to me it means Canada - to you it may mean flowing water. See my reference is from my own personal experience not yours. So in asking me to interpret your dream is like asking me to instantly know your experience and your reference points.
The real questions should be - tell me what you think it means. Tell me what the animals mean to you. Tell me what the symbols mean to you. What do the colors mean to you, the numbers, the letters, and on and on. The point is the message was for you. The symbols and animals were meant for you. So to determine what the dream means, you must look at each piece and determine what it means to you.
I often refer to this as putting the puzzle together. When you get a jig saw puzzle and dump it on the table all the pieces are scattered. You can not see the big picture until you have put all the pieces in the right places. So my advice is to sit down and write out what the maor parts of the dream meant to you and then put them together in a story and see what is revealed in the big picture.
What is important is that you have received knowledge. Don't ask others to figure it out. Accept it for what it is. Your inner soul knows its meaning already. The value of the dream or vision is the message and knowledge. Empower that knowledge. Empower that experience. When you spend time trying to figure every last detail out, the dream or vision can lose its power. Instead, look at the big picture of the dream and be grateful that it was shown to you and say thank you.
Once you have the big picture, the details seem irrelevant. I will add that there are times when I still will ask another for their thoughts on the dream as validation to what was shown; however, I must say they will ask the question - well tell me what it means to you. So I offer this ... close your eyes for a moment and relive the dream. Experience the dream. Experience the message and knowledge given. Then spend 15-20 minutes writing what the dream means to you. Do not spend more than 15-20 minutes else you are over analyzing and it will lose its power. Once this is done, send it to me in an email and I will share my thoughts.
Dreams, visions, and journeys are personal. They are part of your evolving spirituality. Step into your own power and learn to accept the knowledge and messages given to YOU.
