A Black SUV Changed the World For Some

Changing perspective.  It seems to be the theme thus far on my time away.  So many little things that occur in a day can change your perspective.  Who you meet on walk through a park or the person standing in front of you at the grocery line, they each have a story to tell.  That story can change your perspective if you slow down to hear it.

I had been out doing some mundane errands before by trip to Chicago.  My thoughts really on the impending rain storm.  I love storms.  Yet, I would prefer to be at home to watch them from the comfort of my porch swing - not out doing errands.  But then again, stuck at a bookstore as a cloud opened up is not a bad way to spend the afternoon.  A good cup of tea, curled up in a comfy chair, good book - not a bad perspective.

The cloud passed and off again.  As I finished up and was heading home, the phone rang.  My husband calling.  I pulled over for the short conversation as the rain made it difficult enough to see the road without the distraction of talking on the phone.  So many pauses - so many shifts in perspective as I reflect backwards.  But isn't that the way - it is always a moment of clarity when we look backwards.  I continued on my journey home.

Not five minutes from my home is when it happened.  The BIG moment.  In a single heartbeat the world changed for multiple people.  In a single heartbeat lives were forever impacted.  The moment was a choice.  A choice made by one that effected many.  What was that choice?  That singular choice that changed the lives of so many.

A young woman driving in a rainstorm made the choice to text.  Made the choice that whomever she was speaking to had more importance than anything else in the world.  One wonders if she had any idea that when she woke up that morning, if her choices would effect so many others?  Could she image that something she did would have such an impact of the lives of others?  As she looked down at her phone to make sure she typed the words correctly, her black SUV rammed into a one ton truck with a trailer full of propane tanks.  Lives changed ...

A single moment.  A single choice.

How many times a day do we make a single choice without thinking, without contemplating the actions and more importantly the reactions of that choice?  We each do it countless times a day.  We make choices, make decisions, seemingly unimportant ones.  Yet, every choice we make, every action we take, has the potential to change lives.  Many times not only our own.

The energy of the scene palpable, but how often do we pause in our own lives to see the energy of our choices?  Every single choice we make has energy.  That energy ripples outward.  It will touch others lives.   I know that for me, after the BIG moment, even the smallest of choices seem larger than life.  The smallest of choices . . .

If we set our intention that every choice is done with mindful intention, every choice done with thought, and every choice done with spiritual integrity how would the impact around us be felt?  Big question, but then again every choice is a BIG moment.

A pillow, a good book, and a view that forever changed my perspective ...

A Door Way.  It is what we all are looking for, isn't?  A doorway that leads to a new perspective, a transformation, a new opportunity ...

When we remain open to the Universe, open to the Great Spirit, these doorways can appear in the most unlikely places.

I was walking along the ocean with intent.  My intent was perhaps to connect with a dolphin or two.  I was seeking out a new perspective.  This two month "unplugged" (for the most part) gift to myself is more than a break, it is to seek out direction, a new perspective and perhaps even a new doorway.

When we set an intention, we must remain open to how it will be fulfilled by the Cosmos.  It does not always come in the form we had expected it to.  Lost in the 'blueness' of the oceans water, the rippling of the soft waves against the shore line, and the stillness of the moment I could have missed the doorway, the experience of having my perspective changed in ways I could have never imagined.

The sands of time in a small reflective "puddle" had caught my attention.  I watched as the waves ebbed and flowed, shifting the pool over and over again.  Much as it had in a recent journey I recorded for my Fire In The Soul Tribe 7.  The horizon between the water and sky melded together as one blue as I drew my attention back to this tiny pool.

Finally, drawing myself back to this time, this space, the walk and search for something spectacular went on.  I knew that the sands of time were trying to reveal something, thus, it must be extraordinary.  Right?  Isn't that the way things happen?  A spectacular moment.  A stoppage of time.  A grand theater stage plays out a great drama that is full of action portrayed by a hero and a victim being rescued?

As we turned the corner, a woman perhaps in her 30's was climbing down from a tree.  Something about the tree caught my attention.  Compared to the other trees it seemed alive.  Vibrant, as though you could see the sap flowing through its "veins".  I immediately slipped back into the sands of time and the journey - A tree that extended beyond the horizon into the Upper Worlds.  As strange as it may seem, I had to wonder was this the tree?  In the middle of a public area?  Where people passed by every day?  I had to touch it.  I had to feel its aliveness.  Feel the sap coursing through it.

It was though there was a portal to the heaven's.  Amazing.  As I savored the moment becoming one with the tree, feeling her aliveness, inhaling the embrace of her spirit within, I also knew that the woman who I watched climbing down from the tree was watching.

After a very short conversation, I was invited into her home.

A series of small door ways that lead to some spectacular spaces.  I will simply leave you with the pictures.

And so the "living room" where I first saw the woman.  A pillow, a good book, and a view that forever changed my perspective....

We must be open to the doorways, where ever the Universe reveals them.  While, at the request of the woman who allowed me to enter her 'home', I am not sharing the whole story with you of how she came to find this incredible tree with this amazing view as her own, what I will share is ...

It is all about perspective.  It is all about what we choose in life to see.  While some may reflect upon this woman and see a homeless woman, I will share her perspective.  See baths every day in the healing waters of the ocean.  Her view is one people pay 'millions' to have.  She connects with nature in a way few ever will.  As a result, her tree is alive like I have never felt before.  She falls asleep to the sound of birds aria song every night.  Dolphins come when all is calm to share with her.  She is debt free to society and does not live by a clock.  She lives by the natural cycle of nature.  Her choice ... perhaps not to be homeless but as she is, her choice in her words is "it is how you see things.  If I see it as a victim of the economy and how hard life is, suppose you could get depressed and angry.  But when I had a house and job, I was depressed and angry.  So I see it as a gift in many ways.  A new life.  Not sure I would go back if I could, but if I get the chance I know one thing for sure.  I would go about it vastly different.  I would not have debt.  I would not have a job where it had to be the center thing in life.  I would spend more time, like I do now, by the ocean with the dolphins and the trees."

A new perspective, a new door way, and a living sands of time journey ....

Own Your Treasures: The Weekly Vibe with Laurissa Heller

John Baez Creator

June 4th, there will be a Full Moon in Sagittarius.  This energy will ultimately open up our conversation, as well as the ocean view that has been waiting to be uncovered by the light of Luna.  What is it that has been sitting the deep waters of your soul, waiting to come forward to you in the dark night.  This is not the kind of information that always shows in the visible mid-day sun.

Our luminescence is best seen in the greater abyss when the flow of darkness has set in.  The beam of light may swing in a new direction, showing you an undiscovered sea of gospel that moves your mind to accept a new truth.  The question is, do you dare to dive in?  Do you wish to know the treasures that sit at bottom of the ocean?  The beam of vibrational lightness is mearly showing the surface.  It is always a journey when you are willing to dive deep, but how else are you going to get the view of the mystical mermaids that await you?

How you will open the box that holds your jewels?  It must personal, and it has to be a choice that empowers you, otherwise you are destined to remain on the surface, in the  air element of thinking. Air doesn’t go deep, it keeps your life episode at the top.  Soul diving must be done through the courage of faith and self-knowledge.  Your heart must be full of emotional acceptance.  Think of still waters, full of clarity.

As I mentioned yesterday, Mercury has a way of stepping in with the trickester archetype, so if you are moving through the build up of energy by problem solving with your head, Mercury will be trying to engage with you.  He will leave a trail of breadcrumbs for your mind.  Engaging thoughts with a very colorful story.  Once followed, it becomes ambiguous.  Perhaps he will reward you with a good belly laugh.

Keep the focus within your heart, trust your intuitive hits, and approach with a joyful prana.  Venus will meet you in the emotional waters.  She has something to show you, and it is your personal creativity, sensuality, self-worth, and feminine power.  Own your treasures with power.
