"Kuya" speaks through the MESA

Ascension to JOY ... Sacred Lodge Sister Karen shares a message from her MESA as we prepare for the bi coastal ceremony occurring this weekend.

MESSAGE FROM Karen's MESA:

"I received this particular kuya from Umantay, one of the holy mountains of the Andes. The medicine it holds is the wisdom of beauty. This stone called to speak in response to my question what do we need to see as we step into the Ascension to JOY Deremony? What message do you have for us?

I read the stone first from what I literally see, what images impressions, colors, shapes seem to pop. These impressions than lead to another level of meaning as more of the mythic message is revealed from the literal.

A dark hole in the center of this kuya is surrounded by a lighter border reminding me of an ear. The upper left hand corner is rising up like an arrow pointing left in the direction of the feminine. We must listen more deeply to our own heart in order to ascend into joy. To awaken the essence of our feminine nature. This is the direction we are moving towards. We are being asked to develop deep listening, develop the receptive nature of our being.

What I notice as I turn the stone over is how it fits quite beautifully into my hand, a perfect match. We are being asked to find where is it that we can meet the dualities of our being, the dualities of our masculine and feminine. Where is it that they can meet and fit together in a way to create this match, a snug and warm fit, a connection that feels good, feels right. A state of right relationship, bringing ayni to the masculine and feminine essences of our nature.

There has been a lot of rough terrain we have traveled. We have been through darkness. We have been lost in valleys and crevasses. At the upper right hand corner of this stone the darkness that exists at the bottom 3/4 is met by a clearing. In that clearing is an image. A face that smiles reminding me of a sunflower. It is time to look towards the Sun. Absorb its radiance. The ascension of our masculine rising to the light of the Sun. Radiating like the sun. Making our way out of the darkness and the rough terrain. Beaming like a sunflower.

This is what the kuya speaks."
